I already had the opportunity to introduce you His Excellency Bishop Enrique Figaredo Alvargonzalez, that we all call “Father Kiké” in Cambodia.

https://ravisisowath.wordpress.com/2014/07/30/his-majesty-king-norodom-sihamoni-conceded-a-royal-audience-to-his-excellency-enrique-figaredo-alvargonzalez-bishop-of-battambang/

Having heard so much about Him, I was looking forward to my first encounter with such a special character and that was done on November 26th, 2014. It was a rainy evening and Father Kiké asked me to wait for him at the Jesuit Curia in Rome, near the Vatican. From there, I went with the Jesuit Bishop to my favourite « trattoria » Da Luigi, where we discussed a lot about Cambodia, the Catholic Church in Battambang, etc…

Rahma Prod’s next production’s trailer.

Cambodia is a privileged place for talking about spirituality, as there is no difference between spiritual and material life. Spirituality is represented in different ways in each country in relation with their habits and customs, though nevertheless there is a similarity everywhere: Spirituality aims to bringing back humans at the center of themselves and link them to the Divine.

In summer 1964, HRH Princess Norodom Buppha Devi went on a successful tournée, following Her Father, HRH Prince Norodom Sihanouk in a State Visit in France. This was the first time the Royal Ballet of Cambodia was granted the Opera de Paris as a privileged stage, before the Theatre Sarah Bernhardt (Théâtre de la Ville nowadays).

Obviously, the Italian journalists’ attention was taken by the young couple, HRH Princess Norodom Buppha Devi and Bruno Forsinetti. They were young, beautiful and their story really resembled a fairy tale. Here is the article, which was published in « Tempo », n°29, 18 July 1964

No!

Gaetano Donizetti Gaetano Donizetti
